The EOQHA has three Awards that are presented annually to members who go that extra bit out of their way to help others or the club. These Awards are presented annually at the Spring banquet.
The Bill Borland Award, donated by the Hitsman family, honours those who are always willing to help, go the extra mile and demonstrate exceptional team work. Previous winners are: in 2007- The Wakley's, and in 2008- John Cooney.
The Goodwill Award, initially donated by Bonnie Cameron and Dan Donohue, to an individual or family who contributes willingly and unasked to the EOQHA by helping out in anyway they can to make things run smoothly; be it handing out ribbons, helping with functions, setting up obstacles in the ring, or for social functions, delivering shavings, or even cleaning out stalls. They volunteer and pitch in wherever and whenever needed. Previous winners are: 2007- Catlin Gifford and in 2008-Dave Runtz.
