Carol O'Grady
O'GRADY, Carol Malcolm Suddenly on Monday, June 6, 2011. Carol, cherished wife of Thomas O'Grady and beloved sister of Richard (Claire), Robin Singleton and Craig (Kelly). She was the daughter of the late Peter and Margot Malcolm, step mother to Lyndsay, Kelly, Jennifer O'Grady and held dear by her nieces, nephews and cousins. She was loved by her many friends and colleagues at the Eastern Ontario Quarter Horse Association. Carol was an accomplished horseback rider with a lifelong enjoyment of her many horses and collie dogs. During her time with Sport Canada her efforts helped change the future of sport excellence in Canada. She enjoyed her work and was the champion of Canadian Sport for Life. Her drive and passion helped bring the sport movement from its infancy 10 years ago, to the road map for the development of young athletes in every sport. Carol's gentle demeanor with her family, friends and pets touched the lives of all who came her way or sought her counsel. She will be deeply missed. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata Thursday, June 9th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday to St. Michael's Church, 1560 Corkery Road, Carp, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 2 p.m. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Carp.
