2007 EOQHA Free Style Horsemanship

Having a little fun is common at EOQHA shows, but each year we try to put a twist on just how we deliver that!

The Free Style Horsemanship hosted at this year’s June Classic was a bit of a change from years past, when pairs would perform a written pattern as a synchronized horsemanship performance. Instead this year teams & individuals were welcomed to perform their own horseman- ship pattern to music of their choice, in a pattern that contained a few required elements much like in a Free Style Reining class.

As expected our riders put on quite the show, and our audience who made up the fourth judge, agreed with our scoring judges; former NRHA judge Ray Laviolette, WHA judge, Debbie Haughton, and ORHA rider Lucas Rinzema, who declared Haylee White’s performance as the “Pink Panther” the hands down winner.

Thank you very much to all seven of our riders, our event sponsor Circle R Saddlery, and those who bid on the performers, making this event once again a great fundraiser for the EOQHA Youth Program.
