truly believe, that there is no better way to spend a weekend,
than with good friends, and great horses!!!

If you have ever been to a rodeo, seen horses working on a Ranch,
or watched a Western on the big or small screen, 9 times out of
10 you have witnessed an American Quarter Horse. These heavily
muscled; compact horses could run a short distance over a straightaway
faster than any other horse. The fastest of them were called:
“Celebrated American Quarter Running Horses”, by English
colonists in the 1600s. In 1940 a registry was formed to preserve
the breed, which officially became the American Quarter Horse.
It's interesting to note that the quarter-mile is still the most
popular distance for racing American Quarter Horses, and the best
blaze the 440 yards in 21 seconds or less.
The
Quarter Horse population in Canada alone is over 225,000, with
24,283 of those horses residing in the province of Ontario. The
breed is the most versatile in the world boasting athletic ability
in all areas of both the English and Western riding disciplines.
Renowned for their even temperament, and intelligence these horses
are a favorite for Hollywood Film makers as well. Globally there
are close to 400,000 of these highly regarded horses, making the
American Quarter Horse sanctioned shows a favored pass time for
many families around the world.
